A note about beeswax: Beeswax candles burn slower than other natural waxes allowing you to enjoy your candle longer. There are no toxic byproducts when they burn. In fact, they pull toxins as they iodize the air. Good for you, good for the environment.
A natural process called "bloom" occurs in 100% pure beeswax candles. This refers to the whitish cast that takes over the outside of the candle and indicates that you have a 100% beeswax candle. It does not affect the way a candle burns, and is simply a process of the softer oils of the beeswax rising to the outside surface. We like the antique look but for a glossy finish, simply wipe with a clean cloth to shine.
Warning: Never leave a burning candle unattended and do not leave burning candles near anything flammable. Trim wick prior to burning to 1/4 inch and burn on an even heat resistant surface/drip tray to protect surfaces.
